Dharma Hatha Yoga
Flor Villazan.
Dharma hatha yoga is a heart-centered yoga rooted in the classical teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra. It’s a graceful, challenging, and heart-opening class. It symbolizes the union of opposites: activity and rest, strength and flexibility, effort and ease. In a typical Dharma class, movements are slower and more deliberate, allowing time to refine alignment, deepen the breath, and truly inhabit each posture. It’s an excellent practice for building strength, increasing flexibility, and developing focus, whether you are new to yoga or looking to enrich your existing practice.
Hatha yoga invites you to tune in to the body and quiet the mind. By balancing the active and receptive energies within, it creates space for both physical well-being and inner calm.
Our resident Dharma Hatha yoga instructor is Flor Villazan, who still regularly studies with Sri Dharma Mittra three times a week. You can take her extended Hatha class on Sundays and her one-hour Hatha class Mondays.
