Hot Pilates
Pilates came to the United States in the 1920s. It was originally created to rehabilitate wounded soldiers. Hot Pilates is the modernized version of many of the original movements. It is precision-based, high-intensity workout done in a hot (100º+) room.
Each class blends calisthenics with interval training to strengthen muscles, improve balance, and boost endurance… all while protecting your joints! As with our yoga, the heat helps increase circulation, supports mobility, and adds an extra mental challenge.
The exercises incorporate your own body weight and often hand weights (which we provide at no cost). Whether you are cross-training, recovering, or just craving something that makes you feel powerful in your own skin, this is your class. (And you’ll notice how much stronger it makes your yoga practice, too!)
