Vinyasa Yoga
Di Salvador, known for her challenging and fun vinyasa sequences.
“Vinyasa” means breath and movement. Vinyasa flow is a class that contains many different postures strung together. The sequence is different every time, making it challenging, exciting, and dynamic. Each movement is linked to the practitioner’s breath — so each movement is combined with either an exhale or an inhale. Certain parts of the body may be emphasized: for example, one day the focus may be more on hips, while the next day the focus may be more on arm strength. One day may have lots of inversions and balancing, while another day may have lots of twists and floor work. You will be sure to walk away feeling rejuvenated, open, and energized. Beginners will be comfortable in this environment, as each posture can be easily modified or approximated.
Note: On federal holidays, we offer a special 75-minute hot “yinyasa” class at noon, which is 45 minutes of a slow vinyasa flow with 30 juicy minutes of yin at the end.
